The Snowman

23/11/2016 - 31/12/2017

Description

Twinkling with festive spirit this stage show is now celebrating 20 consecutive years at The Peacock. Based upon the book by Raymond Briggs and the film directed by Dianne Jackson and produced by John Coates which has transported a generation of children and their families into the wintery world of a boy and his magical snowman.

With music and lyrics by Howard Blake, including Walking in the Air performed by a live orchestra, design by Ruari Murchison and lighting by Tim Mitchell, The Snowman is a tale of friendship and adventure including a visit to the North Pole to meet Father Christmas and a thrilling escape from Jack Frost.

Virtuoso choreography by Robert North and direction by Bill Alexander make The Snowman a much-loved festive tradition of storytelling, spectacle and magic.

By arrangement with Snowman Enterprises Limited (A Penguin Company) and Chester Music Limited.
